October Flutter Fairy - Loween
Loween (October’s Flutter Fairy) is a Fun decoration for the Autumn Season. She looks like a little Witch with wings. She stands about 6.5 inches tall from the tip of her hat to the bottom of her dress. Her wings are reasonably solid and span about 8 inches across. I didn’t stiffen mine, but it is possible to do.
I imagine her saying, “Fall is in full swing, and Halloween is at the end of October. The world around me is getting ready for winter, trees losing most of their leaves, animals have their winter dens ready, and humans are enjoying the crisp evening air.”
- This is a PDF eBook pattern, meaning that there are a lot of pictures, and full explanations of how to create her. In other words there’s more than a page or two of abbreviations.
- She’s made with lace weight yarn, which is 2 ply and soft. Her blouse and accents are done with #5 Pearl Cotton. The size hook I used is a B, 2.25 mm.
- You can pose her arms because of a little trick explained in the pattern.
- The clothing and hat are not removable.
This is NOT recommended as a toy for little ones, but older children (10 and above) and teenagers would love her. Mine is a fun Seasonal Decoration and I prefer to keep her that way.
